Using the right fixing is essential. Unfortunately you only find out you have used the wrong type when a shelf collapses, the mirror falls or the TV crashes. Rawlplug is the name in fixings, the generic for plugs, but its market share had been eroded by cheap imported plastic plugs that in many cases weren't up to the job. Rawlplug launched a new plug, the UNO, to solve people's confusion about what plug to use, in which wall type. The challenge was to persuade the public that UNO was the one and only plug you'll ever need which was done through witty advertising and giveaways. The UNO was launched to UNOversal acclaim and increased sales.
