T-rrific fundraising for
Gloucestershire charities!
Target raised more than £450 for three local charities after donning sweatbands and t-shirts and running an 18 mile relay race around Cheltenham on Gloucestershire Tday (Friday 8 May).
Gloucestershire Tday is an annual event that invites schools, companies and organisations around the county to donate £1 and dress down for the day to help raise money for three Gloucestershire charities who work with children and young people with disabilities – the National Star College, Spring Centre and the Have a Heart Appeal.
Target was one of main supporters of this year's appeal with two members of the team – Chief Executive Colin Spencer and Account Executive Pippa Clark – volunteering their time as part of the Tday committee.
All members of the Target team ran one mile each around Leckhampton, Up Hatherley, Gloucester Road, Prestbury and Cheltenham town centre.
Colin Spencer says: "We're over the moon with how much we raised for Gloucestershire Tday and we'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who sponsored us. The team completed the race in just under three hours which was a big surprise and we really enjoyed taking part and raising funds for three fantastic local charities."
