Target has launched a new service for small businesses called Razor Communications.

Set up to offer rapid, fixed-price projects to smaller businesses, the Razor team is launching the service by offering one lucky company the chance to win a 'brand makeover' package worth £1,500 as a boost in today's challenging marketplace.

Companies will be asked to name the brand or company they most admire, and say why. To enter, you need to visit the website at www.razorcommunications.co.uk and fill in the entry form. The winner will be the most original and creative answer.

The deadline for entries is Friday 14 August and even if you're not selected as the overall winner, all entries will be eligible for a 10% discount off their first Razor project.

David Dare from Razor explains: "For more than 30 years Target has been working with local and national clients from many sectors, including household names like Avon Cosmetics, E.ON and Specsavers Opticians and regional organisations such as Gloucestershire First – each with dedicated marketing budgets and very specific marketing plans.

"We decided to create Razor, however, to cater specifically for smaller businesses that might not have the budget to commit to a long term communications plan, but still want to get their message across to their target audience. The 'bite-size' menu offers a solution for every communications challenge and our experienced team of marketing and PR specialists can offer strategic advice to help any business achieve its full potential.

"At a time when headlines are dominated by stories about businesses making cutbacks and redundancies, Razor is being launched to help smaller companies that form the bedrock of the local community. It is perhaps even more important during these tough economic times that businesses set themselves apart from the competition, and Razor can help to do this."

For more information about the competition, including full terms and conditions, please visit the website at www.razorcommunications.co.uk or call 01242 633155.
