Target blooms with CIPR Gold Award win
Cheltenham-based agency, Target Public Relations has won a prestigious Gold Award at the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) West of England PRide Awards 2009 for 'best use of photography' in its Westonbirt Arboretum Spring Collection 2009 campaign.
The campaign brought together high fashion with nature, using stunning photography of a model wearing a dress designed by an Oxford fashion student, that was made entirely from the blooms and foliage found at the Arboretum.
The CIPR judges commented; "Creative, colourful and absolutely spot-on. We were delighted by this entry, which combines all the elements to make it a worthy winner of a Gold Award. From the actual photography, through to the production of the unique 'entry summary', Target has set a new benchmark in excellence. The campaign for Westonbirt Arboretum generated significant media coverage, including in 'The Sun'. Clearly the excellent photography stems from a true flowering of creative design."
Sarah Bryars, Managing Director at Target Public Relations, says; "We are delighted to have won a Gold Award for this campaign, it was very exciting to see something so beautiful and unique come from merging the natural beauty of the Westonbirt Arboretum with great young creative talent and photography was key in conveying its wow-factor to the media. Phil James's beautiful photography, and that of the many press photographers who attended, really captured the beauty of the subject."
Tom Bowden-Green, Chair of CIPR West of England, says; "A CIPR PRide Award is a hallmark of professionalism and success – it identifies, recognises and rewards the outstanding achievements of those working in the PR industry outside of London. To win a CIPR PRide Award is a tremendous achievement and I congratulate all of this year's winners."
Target Public Relations was formed in 1996 as part of the Cheltenham-based Target Marketing Group that, since 1977, has built a reputation as a fully integrated marketing communications agency incorporating advertising/design, media, digital and direct marketing.
