It’s almost that time of year again! Three months today (Thursday 6 June, 2019) we’ll be hosting our third annual charity golf day at Brickhampton Court Golf Complex, Churchdown, Gloucester, raising funds for WellChild; the national charity supporting sick children and their families.
Here, you’ll find out what to expect on the day, how to enter a team, all about our charity partner, WellChild, and some pictures from previous years.
Our Golf Day continues to be the main focal point of our fundraising activity each year, and with fourteen teams already signed up for this year’s event and only three months to go, it’s time to get in touch and enter a team!
The cost for a team of four is £280 which includes bacon rolls and coffee on arrival, 18 holes of golf and a rolling barbecue afterwards. There will be a half-way house and prizes for the winning team, who will receive the coveted Target Claret Jug, as well as longest drive and nearest the pin. ‘Beat the Pro’ on the 17th green will also return and is once again generously sponsored by Newman Langley Financial Consulting Limited. Spencer Accounting Services will be sponsoring the green fees.
To enter a team or for more information, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to the attention of Bev Ryder-Jones or give us a call on 01242 633100.
We’ve been supporting WellChild as our nominated charity since the start of 2017, as part of Target’s 40th anniversary celebrations, and continued this commitment into 2018 and 2019. We’ve raised over £13,000 for the charity so far, with highlights including golf days, a bacon roll delivery service and a summer drinks event.
From its headquarters here in Cheltenham, WellChild supports all areas of paediatric research, as well as providing care and practical support to children and young people suffering from long-term or complex health conditions. The charity – whose patron is Prince Harry – funds a UK-wide network of WellChild Children’s Nurses and its Helping Hands scheme provides home and garden make-overs to make life a little easier for those with complex health needs.
