We had cause to break open the bubbly and celebrate recently after being shortlisted in two Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) PRide Award categories.
The news that we’d been named as a finalist for our work with leadership development and strategy specialists QuoLux was greeted with much jubilation in the office! We submitted entries for the ‘Business and Corporate Communications’ and ‘Best Publication’ categories in the South of England and Channel Islands region, and will find out whether we’ve won at an awards ceremony in November.
“We’re over the moon to have been shortlisted for both awards,” said Target’s Chief Executive, Sarah Bryars. “We’ve supported QuoLux with PR since 2012, working closely with Managing Director, Stewart Barnes and Director, Rachael Ramos to build the firm’s profile among SME business owners and directors. The magazine, Leading, has been a much more recent venture and although we’ve only just published issue two, the response has been fantastic. It’s a brilliant collaboration between the editorial and design team (QuoLux, Target and Design Sanctuary), and all the business leaders who contribute their experiences and insights which we share in the magazine.”
Rachael Ramos said; “As editor-in-chief, it is fabulous that the Leading magazine and the campaign to target business leaders have been recognised by the PR industry. When we conceived Leading, we wanted it to be leading in terms of content, design and tone. To date, almost 50 business people have shared their practical insights and we’ve received fantastic feedback on both issues. Their stories are interesting and inspiring others to do more.”
Sarah added; “Historically, we’ve enjoyed quite a bit of awards success but it feels extra special to be recognised during our 40th anniversary year. We’re competing in a huge geographic region which makes being shortlisted feel like a real achievement in itself. We’re all looking forward to the awards ceremony in November; a chance to celebrate success together!”
The CIPR PRide Awards are the leading regional PR awards in the country and recognise the outstanding work that both agencies and in-house teams deliver across the UK. Winners, selected by a team of leading industry experts, are awarded at glittering UK-wide award ceremonies.
