Our sixth annual Target charity golf day is set to take place on Thursday 25 May at Brickhampton Court Golf Complex, so we thought we’d introduce you to our new chosen charity and run through some of the exciting things we’ve got planned for the day.

Who we’re supporting

We’ve chosen to support Maggie’s Cheltenham, an amazing organisation that works with those who have been diagnosed with cancer, as well as their families and loved ones who need support during an extremely difficult time. Located near Cheltenham hospital, Maggie’s is a calm and peaceful spot where people living with cancer and their families can, go to alleviate some of the stress that continuous hospital visits can cause.

So, how can we support them? Well, £40 means someone with cancer can spend an hour with a benefits advisor to help with financial support, £100 could cover the cost of a ‘Getting Started’ session, to help someone with cancer learn to manage their diagnosis and treatment, while £180 could pay for a family’s ongoing support from a psychologist.

We are delighted to be working with Maggie’s. The support that the team at Maggie’s Cheltenham provides is vital and we’re looking forward to raising money for such a worthy cause.

How you can get involved

There’s lots of different ways you can get involved in our Golf Day.

Join us for a coffee and a bacon roll followed by the full 18-hole experience and a relaxed barbeque, brought to you by Target and our generous sponsors; Spencer Accounting Services, Newman Langley & Stavri Financial Consultancy, Trueology, stu-art design, Really Helpful Marketing, Typecraft, and TRJ Decorating. Enter a team of four for £300, with all proceeds going to charity, and don’t forget to test your skills by signing up to Beat the Pro!

If you can’t join us on the day, we’d appreciate any donation you can make, whether that’s buying a raffle ticket, donating a prize or even making a monetary donation to Maggie’s.

One the Day

The Target team will be ready to welcome you from 10:15am. We’ll see the first team tee off at 11am and we’ll be ready to take your photo before you start. There will be a pit stop at the halfway house for a drink and treat, before finishing the remaining holes.

There’s plenty of opportunities to win prizes throughout the day, from best dressed to longest drive and we’ve also lined up some fantastic prizes for our silent auction and raffle. Plus, the winning team will take home the coveted Claret Jug.

What are you waiting for? To enter a team, donate a prize or find out more about the day, email us at info@targetgroup.co.uk. We look forward to seeing you there!
