Target takes to the course all in aid of WellChild

Last year, we held our first charity golf day. It was such a success, we decided to do it again this year, and we raised an amazing £4,000 for WellChild, thanks to our fantastic teams, sponsors, supporters and those who donated auction and raffle prizes.

There was a good deal of fierce competition and some great (and some not so great) golf played. In total, 14 teams of four took to the Brickhampton Spa Course and enjoyed, for the most part, glorious sunshine while hoping to walk away with the highly coveted Target claret jug.

Last year’s winners, McColl Marketing, were not able to repeat their stunning performance from 2017, coming in 12th, while the silverware was claimed by Willans LLP, just three points ahead of Creed and BPE Solicitors. Prizes were also awarded for the longest drive, nearest the pin and beat the pro competitions.

When the golf was finished, the teams all enjoyed a delicious BBQ from Brickhampton’s Argentinian grill, and another chance to buy raffle tickets or bid on the silent auction.

“It was great to hold our second golf day and see such a fantastic turnout that raised such an incredible amount for our nominated charity partner WellChild,” said Colin. “As ever, we want to say a very big thank you to everyone who came along and made the day such a success. Special thanks also to our sponsors; Spencer Accounting Services, Newman Langley, Typecraft and Whiteroom Images as well as all the businesses that kindly donated prizes to the raffle and silent auction.”
