HETAS and Woodsure

Since 2019, we’ve been working with non-profit industry organisation HETAS, and its non-profit subsidiary business Woodsure.

Whether a wood-burning or multi-fuel stove is a household’s main source of heating or supplementary to creating a cosy winter evening in, knowing what’s best to burn and how to properly maintain the appliance is critical to ensuring it’s safe and efficient to use, as well as minimising the impact of burning on the environment.

We’ve been raising awareness among consumer and trade audiences about the importance of using qualified professional installers and chimney sweeps, and only burning certified Ready to Burn wood or manufactured solid fuels.

From giving simple guidance to homeowners and providing professionals with knowledge and expertise, to using scientific studies to inform government on the true impact of domestic burning and supporting changes in Air Quality legislation, we’ve helped HETAS and Woodsure utilise a broad range of stories in an ongoing consumer and trade media relations programme.
